Course overview

Despite improved understanding of etiology and advances in treatment, heart failure (HF) incidence and prevalence are on the rise, hospital admission and readmission rates remain high, and the economic cost associated with inpatient treatment of HF places a heavy burden on the United States¿ healthcare system. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of case management for patients with HF. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
