Course overview

Services billed for PT and OT need a written referral from a treating clinician that includes documentation of the diagnosis and the injury or disease requiring treatment. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of Medicare billing and coding for OT and PT services including information on coverage variations between Medicare Part A and Part B, billing requirements, documentation requirements, and to aid OT and PT providers with billing. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
