The "brittle bone" disease, osteoporosis, is one of the least understood and most hotly debated chronic degenerative diseases in medical science today. Affecting millions of women (and men, too!), it is a leading cause of death and disability that may be almost completely preventable. The course presents the latest in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies, and includes lots of patient education materials.
