Course overview

Do your patients or colleagues ever complain of vague doubts such as "have I really locked the door and turned off the lights," etc.? Are they constantly checking and rechecking if something has been done? Are they fearful of small mistakes that end up time-consuming projects? If so, they may be experiencing symptoms of OCD, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder! Course objectives include: * Name the essential features of OCD and define obsessions and compulsions. * List OCD symptoms the nurse is likely to see in clients. * Identify the therapies most often used for treating OCD.
