Course overview

A medication administration cartridge system(MACS) is a term used to describe a portable delivery device for use by an individual for infusion of a single medication via intravenous, subcutaneous, perineural (i.e., surrounding nerve tissue), or epidural routes or via a catheter placed directly into a surgical site (also known as ¿soaker catheters¿). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the administration of medication and removal of a cartridge system that is in use. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
