Course overview
A human head louse is a parasitic wingless insect that can be found in human hair and on the scalp, where it survives by feeding on blood. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of the treatment of head lice and nits, including types of products that may be selected and their appropriate usage, and to aid in caring for the patient undergoing pediculicidal treatment. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
