Course overview

Chest physical therapy (CPT; also known as chest physiotherapy) is an airway clearance technique (ACT) administered to patients with pulmonary conditions that alter mucus clearance. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of how to perform CPT, including techniques for patient positioning, and proper percussion and vibration technique. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
