BREASTFEEDING: SMOKING AND BREASTFEEDING

Course overview

Breastfed infants of mothers who smoke have greater exposure to tobacco by-products than bottle-fed infants of mothers who smoke. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of breastfeeding and smoking, including the impact of maternal smoking on breast milk composition, infant behavior and growth and development, and breastfeeding initiation and duration. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
