Course overview
Vesicoureteral reflux dysplasia syndrome (VURD) is a congenital genitourinary disorder of hydronephrosis, posterior urethral valve (PUV; extra tissue in the urethra), high-grade vesicoureteral reflux, and outflow urinary tract obstruction in male infants and children; it affects one kidney. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of VURD, its clinical presentation, symptoms, and treatment, and to aid in caring for patients with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
