Course overview
Air medical transportation (AMT) refers to the transfer of a critically ill patient via a helicopter¿or, less commonly, an airplane¿to a health care facility appropriate to the level of care the patient needs (i.e., transfer to a Level I trauma center or burn center). This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of maintaining patient safety during AMT. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
