Course overview

Purpose: This presentation is intended to assist nurses with improving the quality and timeliness of nursing documentation and to acquire a greater appreciation for the value of their medical records. Learning Objectives: 1. Cite the five purposes of nursing documentation. 2. Describe common problems associated with nursing documentation. 3. Identify the key instances when documentation is necessary. 4. Differentiate what types of documentation are required for certain health conditions and circumstances.
