GRIEVING WITH AND FOR YOUR CLIENTS

Course overview

This inservice will help your nurse aides describe how grief affects clients, loved ones and healthcare workers. It also discusses the stages of grief and how they can help themsleves and others move through the stages. Grief and mourning across cultures is compared, as well as ways to best communicate with the bereaved. Last but not least, after finishing this inservice, your CNAs will be able to identify their own feelings of grief and practice self-care to stay healthy and strong after a loss.
