Tracking # 20-485481
Course overview
Caregivers and Aides in health care settings are often unaware of some of the common terminology and precautions used by therapists on a day to day basis. They need to be educated in a style they can understand to help carry over the training you as the skilled clinician in the home has provided. This course is designed to educate the clinician in styles of learning and coaching, as well as the concept of ¿coaching¿ as a method to instruct caregivers in handling the day to day issues faced by their patients. Caregivers and aides are willing to let the patient due for self as long as they are not scrutinized by the patient and/or family. A training program is included in this course which includes strategies to facilitate carryover of the education provided to a patient to allow him/her to be as independent as possible.
