One out of 8 people over the age of 65 have Alzheimer¿s Disease in the United States today. Understanding the Stages of Dementia and their impact on cognition, communication and functional abilities is imperative to any rehabilitation practitioner working with an elderly population. This course will help the clinician implement specific strategies for assessment and intervention leading to successful outcomes for the client. A survey of evidence based approaches will be discussed as well.
