Course overview

Main Goals: The goals of this intense online course are to educate the audience as to the physics & physiology effect of hyperbaric exposure and to explain the mechanism and types of injury associated with hyperbaric and diving operations. Subject Matter: A description of the signs & symptoms and treatments of both Type I & II DCS is included as well as defining the treatment tables for DCS & AGE. This course also covers the physics of DCS, frequency of DCS, risk factors, fitness to dive, and in-water recompression. Teaching Methods: - Recorded video lecture with the presenter that includes power point slides. - Quiz. Evaluation Methods: A mandatory course evaluation will be administered to each participant at the conclusion of the course.
