Course overview

Patient families are an important part of therapy. They provide support, but can sometimes impede patient progress. They have their own needs and limits, and can influence patient health and function through a wide diversity of roles, expectations and interactions. This course explores the dynamics of family and its influence on the therapeutic process. An added emphasis is on the dilemma of whether the older adult should continue to drive.
