Course overview

This module covers safe lifting techniques and how to react in the case of an accident. We cover various types of lifts, the mechanics/techniques involved in safe lifting, common hazards, risk factors and how to prevent accidents and injuries. By the end of this training, you will be able to: -Identify the risk factors and unique challenges involved in lifting, repositioning or transferring people -Explain the importance of body mechanics and universal safe lifting techniques -Discuss hazard avoidance techniques -Outline what should be done if an accident occurs
