BLACK PATIENTS: PROVIDING CULTURALLY COMPETENT END-OF-LIFE CARE

Course overview

Culturally competent (CC) end-of-life care of Black patients is holistic and incorporates cultural beliefs, attitudes, and traditions when planning and providing care. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of providing CC end-of-life care to Black patients, including why this is important, how to provide care, outcome data, and how to aid in caring for Black patients at the end of life. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
