EVIDENCE BASED REHAB FOR LUMBAR SPINAL STENOSIS - SOD
Tracking # 20-501817
Course overview
Treating older adults with back pain is often not the most rewarding thing we do. The healthcare professionals efforts to help them are frequently hindered by how much pain they have and how little they can tolerate in terms of activity and exercise. This course can help with that. First, the course looks at the anatomy and mechanics of the normal spine and compare that with the typical structural changes that occur with advancing age. The healthcare professional will develop treatment techniques and protocols that are specific to the older adult with spinal stenosis, including safe manual therapy techniques, effective exercises, specific training to improve gait, and ADL progressions. As an evidence-based course, the research and foundational science behind these treatment protocols will be articulated.
