Course overview
A respiratory assessment is conducted in order to identify abnormalities in ventilation and gas exchange (e.g., tissue oxygenation and carbon dioxide excretion), and determine whether further evaluation and/or intervention is needed. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of how to conduct a respiratory assessment in children. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
