TELAPREVIR (INCIVO)

Course overview

Telaprevir (TVR) is approved worldwide in combination with peginterferon alfa/ribavirin to treat chronic hepatitis C (HepC) caused by hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 in adults with compensated liver disease (including cirrhosis) who are either treatment-na¿ve or have been previously treated with interferon-based therapy. TVR must be used cautiously in patients with preexisting anemia, and should not be used as monotherapy. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of TVR. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
