MARAVIROC (SELZENTRY, CELSENTRI)

Course overview

Maraviroc (MVC) is a cellular chemokine receptor 5 (CCR5) antagonist and fusion inhibitor that is U.S. FDA-approved to treat only CCR5-tropic HIV-1 infection in adults ≥ 18 years, in combination with other antiretroviral agents; it is not recommended for patients with dual/mixed or CXCR4-tropic HIV-1 infection. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of maraviroc. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
