Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Discuss the immunization schedules for children from birth to 18 years old 2. List the 16 diseases that childhood vaccines help prevent 3. Identify the symptoms, transmission modes and complications of these preventable diseases 4. Recognize contraindications for vaccines 5. Provide resources such as informational flyers and websites to parents to help alleviate common misconceptions regarding vaccine safety
