BLACK MEN WITH PROSTATE CANCER: PROVIDING CULTURALLY COMPETENT CARE

Course overview

Culturally competent (CC) care of Black men with prostate cancer (PrCa) is holistic and incorporates appropriate cultural beliefs, attitudes, and traditions when planning and providing care. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of providing CC care to Black men with PrCa, including why this is important and how to effectively provide CC care, and to aid in caring for the patient with this diagnosis. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
