Course overview

1. Define bloodborne pathogens and be able to give an examples of diseases they can cause. 2. Explain what is meant by the term "Universal Precautions". 3. Recognize the sign and/or label that indicate a bloodborne pathogen hazard. 4. Explore ways in which bloodborne pathogens can be transmitted in the workplace. 5. Differentiate between an "engineering control" and a "work practice control".
