The goal of this program is to increase nurses' knowledge of erectile dysfunction (ED), including the pathophysiology, medical and surgical treatment options, and the nurse's role in patient education. After studying the information presented, you will be able to, explain the pathophysiology of at least three causes of ED, describe at least four treatment options for ED and the rationale for each one, and discuss the nurse's role in assessing for ED and teaching patients and their partners about treatment.
