Course overview

Infertility is one of the fastest growing areas of practice in the United States, the treatment of infertility with Chinese medicine is as effective as it is rewarding.  Couples are seeking out alternative forms of fertility treatment or in conjunction with assisted reproduction technology (ART) or in vitro fertilization (IVF). Dr. Wu will cover topics include etiology, both eastern and western view, TCM syndrome differentiation, pattern identification, and a systematic approach to treatment protocols using acupuncture, herbal formulas and diet.  The class also covers how to adjust treatment during the four stages of the menstrual cycle, how to interpret BBT charts, how to work with women using various western fertility drugs or in-vitro fertilization technology, as well as specific diseases that may lead to infertility.
