PAIN: MANAGING POSTOPERATIVE PAIN IN ADULTS

Course overview

Pain related to surgical procedures can significantly affect the quality of life of adult patients during the recovery period. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of postoperative pain management in adults, including the variable clinical presentation of postoperative pain and pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic pain management strategies, and to aid in caring for the postoperative patient. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
