This course will Define ¿Medical Errors¿ and explain the rationale for studying the prevention of medical errors. It will also define the meaning of "Error" according to the Institute of Medicine (IOM), discuss the concept of root cause analysis and explain how it can be used to prevent medical errors, list the most common medical errors, list ways of preventing them from happening ans describe the massage therapist responsibility in reporting medical errors.
