Intravenous Antibiotics: Where We Are and Where We're Going - Antivirals

Course overview

Our continuing nursing education courses are accredited by the California Board of Registered Nurses and the Florida Board of Nursing. All states recognize our courses for accredited continuing education contact hours. This instructional course has been designed for nurses administering and/or caring for the patient receiving intravenous antiviral agents. Antiviral antibiotics have only been available for less than 70 years but antiviral resistance has already forced an ever-increasing arsenal of drugs. In this often- changing landscape, the nurse needs a working knowledge of the antimicrobial agents available, and competency to infuse these medications in all the various administration systems in use today. This course examines the available intravenous antiviral medications.
