Course overview

HIPAA: This course is mainly designed to inform the healthcare professionals about the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). They will learn about how to protect their patients¿ privacy, strict guidelines for maintaining patients¿ privacy, confidentiality and security of health information. Also, a major emphasis is put on patients¿ rights, importance of compliance with the law, and what they must do in case of HIPAA is violation. (2 CONTACT HOURS)
