Course overview

This program is designed to review the pathophysiology and process of Alzheimer's disease, a brief overview of Alzheimer's disease research, and the impact of the disease on the patient and the family. Interventions to care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, and ways to help the family cope are discussed to help caregivers meet the challenge of caring for residents afflicted with this devastating disease.
