Working with Western Reproductive Medicine & IVF

Course overview

This course will take an in-depth look at research substantiating how Chinese medicine can be used in conjunction with assisted reproductive technology to improve in-vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes. This learning module will teach attendees the procedures for a clinical workup in a reproductive medical setting to familiarize them with what their patients go through. We will then go over which acupuncture protocols improve response to medications, and increase follicular growth; and will cover which acupuncture points help with implantation, and how. We will look at the specific physiologic changes which have been documented by Western reproductive medical clinics to improve IVF outcome.
