Insertion of a nasopharyngeal airway, (NA; also referred to as a nasal airway or nasal trumpet) is a procedure designed to maintain patency of the airway between the nose and the posterior aspect of the oropharynx. This continuing education module is designed to give the reader/learner an increased understanding of nasopharyngeal airway insertion in adults. Readers may explore any or all of the topics. One contact hour of continuing education credit is available for those who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form.
