MASTERING LAB INTERPRETATION & THE IMPLICATIONS FOR PATIENT CARE (ZARBANO - HS 073075)
Tracking # 20-521854
Course overview
Health care professionals are expected to accurately interpret lab values and take the appropriate action. However, many of us recognize that our understanding of lab values is limited and their interpretation is complex. We may be comfortable with the CBC and BMP, but it is easy to be overwhelmed by the array of lab values seen in the acute and chronic setting. Join Cyndi Zarbano, RN, BSN, CCRN, CMSRN, CLNC, NLCP, as she demystifies both the common and less frequently seen lab values. Utilizing a case-based approach, she will explore a large variety of labs, why they are ordered, and what the results tell us about our patients. By understanding the clues that these values give us, we can utilize critical thinking to plan our course of action and ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
