This course provides an overview of vaccinations in children and adults and addresses some of the controversy surrounding vaccinations. By the end of this course, learners will be able to: describe how vaccines provide protection from diseases, analyze concerns about vaccination safety and efficacy in order to offer education to patients or clients, identify vaccination schedules for children, adults, and special populations, and list possible side effects and contraindications associated with vaccinations. Approved for 2.0 CEU/contact hours for Nurses (all states), CCM, CRC. Must pass final quiz with 80% or more; may re-take as often as needed.
