HIV Awareness 3 CE Hours

Course overview

This is a 3 CE hour course that is designed to provide massage therapists and other healthcare professionals with a thorough understanding of HIV/AIDS, transmission of HIV/AIDS, prevention methods, treatments, universal precautions when working with HIV/AIDS patients, and two Florida laws pertaining to HIV/AIDS. Topics such as communicable diseases, side effects related to HIV/AIDS, and stigmas associated with HIV/AIDS will also be covered. A look at the global cases of this disease and its history will be explored, as well as new research on vaccine development. In addition, the three stages of this disease will also be presented to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of this worldwide epidemic.
