Course overview

The goal of this program is to define common practice errors, both system-based and human performance-based, in occupational therapy and explore approaches for prevention. The course provides the mandatory two hours of content related to the prevention of medical errors for occupational therapists. The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals will also be described, as they impact practice and service delivery models.
