Course overview
This module will provide healthcare professionals with information about the Romani (Gypsy) culture so that they can provide culturally congruent care to Romani patients and their families. Readers will be able to: describe the history of the Romani people, including geographical origin, language, and religion, identify healthcare-related cultural values and traditions important to the Romani patient and family, and discuss interventions helpful in integrating Romani cultural values and traditions into the plan of care.
