Course overview
This continuing education program will provide occupational therapists with information about the acute phase of spinal cord injury. Readers will be able to: describe basic spinal cord anatomy and common mechanisms of SCI, identify changes in bodily functions after SCI, and discuss the role of occupational therapy in the acute phase of a comprehensive treatment program for a person with an SCI.
