STAFF TRAINING TOOLS: KEYS TO WORKING AT THE TOP OF YOUR PRACTICE
Tracking # 20-527016
Course overview
While staff training has always been a part of the skilled therapists¿ job description within the healthcare setting, these inservice sessions are becoming more significant. Regulatory and legislative changes are transitioning our level of skilled services, to include the requirement for therapists to keep their focus on higher level skilled services, performing ¿at the top of our practice.¿ As the therapy profession progresses toward this focus of working at the top of their practice, the gap of patient care pushed to the next level of nursing or restorative or activity levels requires more intensive and higher skill development levels of training. This course provides inservice training formats, handouts and demonstrative techniques that will be helpful for therapists to utilize for training nursing & restorative assistants, as well as other members of the healthcare interdisciplinary team. Inservice training topics include nutritional strategies and swallowing, communication with dementia patients, and Activities for Daily Living.
