This module discusses the use of pharmacological therapies to manage palliative and end-of-life pain. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Identify medications appropriate to type & severity of pain Explain dosage equivalents Identify how to assess patients for side effects, interactions, efficacy & complications of pain management Identify challenging patient groups and how to promote pain control
