Course overview

The goal of the module is to provide nurses with information regarding the recognition and management of common gastrointestinal, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, skin and mucus membrane symptoms of malignant disorders. On completion o this module, the learner will be able to: Recognize the importance of symptom management for the palliative and hospice patient. Identify common symptoms that effect the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal systems, skin and mucous membranes. Describe interventions for symptom management.
