The goal of this module is to provide nurses preparing for the CPN exam with information about implementing a safe, therapeutic environment and providing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Discuss the components of a safe and therapeutic care environment Explain principles of medication safety and administration in the pediatric population Evaluate methods of pediatric pain management Discuss the role of the pediatric nurse in death, dying and end of life care Explain components of common nursing interventions and procedures Discuss evaluating outcomes to pediatric nursing care
