The goal of this review course is to help learners prepare for the Nursing Professional Development Certification (RN-BC) Examination. After studying the information presented here, the learner will be able to: Define terms related to leadership within NPD: organizational culture, mission, vision, values and goals, and strategic planning Identify three factors that affect the activities of the NPD specialist when engaging in the leader role Describe two responsibilities and two accountabilities integrated into the NPD leader role Discuss approaches to evaluate effectiveness of NPD specialists functioning in a leadership role
