The goal of this review course is to help learners prepare for the Nursing Professional Development Certification (RN-BC) Examination. After studying the information presented here, the learner will be able to: Discuss the three components of the Nursing Professional Development System Model from Nursing Professional Development: Scope and Standards of Practice 2010: inputs, throughputs, and outputs Identify the cultural characteristics of adult learners Discuss the six principles of learning styles and how learners prefer to approach learning Review three the key educational theories and models related to the practice of nursing professional development (NPD) as a specialty practice
