Metabolic Bone Conditions and Tumor Disorders

Course overview

The goal of this module is to understand the difference between metabolic bone conditions and tumor-related illnesses as they relate to the patient and healthcare team. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Identify and differentiate musculoskeletal tumors Establish treatment plans for patients with these diagnoses Relate metabolic bone disease to other orthopedic issues that may result from these underlying conditions Distinguish between benign and malignant tumors Differentiate between bone, soft tissue, muscle and synovial tissue proliferations
