Course overview
The goal of this module is to understand specific disease processes and how appropriate diagnostic testing can assist in correct diagnoses and patient care. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Determine which diagnostic tests are most useful for inflammatory disorders in Orthopedics Discuss how can infection be diagnosed when culture results are still pending Describe the differences between radiographs, MRI’s, bone scans and CT scans List the most common blood tests used to diagnose orthopedic conditions Apply reflex testing results to sensory/motor responses
