Upon completion of this program, the participant will: 1. Describe the continuing education requirements for Florida Certified Nursing Assistants; 2. Define "medical Documentation"; 3. Describe at least two purposes for medical documentation; 4. Describe at least two problems that may arise from poor documentation; 5. Describe at least two "rules" for medical documentation; 6. Describe how to correct a documentation error; 7. Describe the C.N.A.'s responsibility when he/she becomes aware of a documentation error; 8. Describe at least two reasons why early reporting of changes in the patient or resident is important; 9. Define at least two "legal aspects" that apply for Florida's C.N.A.'s; 10. Name and describe at least two patient/resident care tasks that are outside of the scope of the C.N.A.'s license.
