In this course, Dr. John Chen, a recognized authority in western pharmacology and Chinese herbal medicine, and author of Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology and Chinese Herbal Formulas & Applications, goes over the safe and defensive practice guidelines to minimize side-effects, adverse reactions, and herb-drug interactions when using herbal formulas. Dr. Chen will also compare the pros and cons of pharmaceutical drugs and herbal medicine. This course focuses on the following categories: genital-urinary, dermatology, stress/psychological/sleep, immune/energy, detox/cleansing, formulas for women, and formulas for men.
